Halloween wreath

Need:
Wreath
Ribbon
"Boo" letters
Orange, white and purple acrylic paint.
White spider web

I got the white spider web, and ribbon from the dollar store and everything else from Hobby Lobby.
Fall is my absolute favorite time of year...
I love the crisp air
the Carmel apples
Corn mazes
Haunted houses
Leave a changing everywhere
pumpkin carving
Thanksgiving
The fashion
& of course Halloween!

So this wreath was a year in the making...
I kept wanting to change a few little things about it and I finally have it up this year!

So here is my version of a Halloween wreath...

I first painted the "boo" orange.

Then I found some little pictures to copy onto the letters

I didn't like how bright the letters were so I spray painted over them with a dark glazed color and it turned out perfect!

I wrapped the wreath with the white spider webb and stuck the black flowers into the wreath and wrapped the wire around the wood so it wouldn't fall out.
I ended up not using the spider
But I love that I got most of this from the Dollar Tree!

And there is my Halloween wreath!

Seasonal Candy Holders

I got this idea from one of the people I used to nanny for,
I don't know if this is what they did or they bought it already made but I loved the cute candy jars so I was feeling in the mood to do something crafty so I went on Hobby Lobbys website to see what their weekly deals were and I was in luck!
Both the candle holders and Glass decor were on sale for 50% off!
So I headed down there and got the two candle holders and glass jars for $22 bucks.
(the candle holders were originally 20 bucks each CRAZY! and the jars were 2 bucks normally so not bad)
I used Tacky glue, already had it in my stash of glues

Then I put a ring of the glue on the top of the candle holder

And placed the jar on top.

I waited about 4-5 hours to let the glue dry.
(It wouldn't hurt to let it dry longer)

Then I put the candy of the season in.
Obviously Halloween candy!
I may add a ribbon later.

Necklace Organizer

So I have a ton of necklaces and no where to put them so I went to the handy dandy Hobby Lobby to see what they had.

I found a wood hanging thing on their wood isle
Some spray paint and I thought I'd try some crackle paint I took a couple tries to get it to work but I got there!!
I don't read rules very often so just an fyi you put a base coat on, for example, put satin spray paint on let it dry THEN put the crackle on top of it.. I did it the other way around but it was an easy fix,
just put crackle on top of your main color.

I suggest painting on the grass that stain has been there for a year!!!

I measured to see where I should put my hanging strips
I did one in the center then realized I needed two so it wouldn't tilt with different sized necklaces.

And there's my fancy necklace organizer!

U S A boxes

So my idea started with wanting little blocks of wood but I couldn't find any at home depot.
So the default was go to Hobby Lobby and see what they have.
I saw some little cardboard boxes and had a battle with myself if I wanted to spend 2 bucks on each box....
As you see my saving savvy side didn't win.

What you need:
- 3 boxes/pieces of wood/or whatever you would like to use =)
- red white and blue paint (make sure it's all acrylic or metallic, I have 2 acrylic and 1 metallic.. it worked out alright but just make sure!)
- Letter stencils (or if you're awesome at free handing go for it!)
- Painting utensils

I tried to spray paint the "U" on and I gave up very quickly when only one small piece of my "U" made it out alive.. It looked like somthing had died on the front of the box with red every where.

Becuase of the Metallic paint i decided to create a messy look on the boxes.
It turned out well.

TA-DA!

I love celebrating the 4th of July a month early! haha
(I just say I put it up for memorial day which is just as important!!)

America Wreath

Well my mom saw my wreath and asked for one but since we both live in the same house I thought we should make her one of her own!
So we went to Hobby Lobby and she picked out a bunch of fun sparkly materials(which she loves) and I brought them all home and put them in groups and started putting them on the wreath.

There it is!
It suits my mom's personality, all sparkly and bright.
I believe I will be making another wreath for my sister for her Bunco night so another will be up in the next couple weeks!
Thanks for reading!

If you choose to make this you will Need:
-2 Blocks
-Paint of your choice
-sticky letters(it started out with using letters from a cricket, but the letters were too sloppy)
-Spray paint color of your choice

I love the Antique look.

Red White & Blue wreath

I've been in a celebrate America mood so I saw the burlap type stuff at Hobby Lobby and bought some.
It was quick and easy to make.

What you need for this wreath:
-2 1/2 of the red white and blue material.
(if you like it more spread out then you will be safe with just two. Or possibly use a smaller hanger)
- 1 Metal Hanger bent into a circle.

How I got the ruffles was by folding it over and bunching it onto the hanger one piece at a time.
Or you could try bunching it all together before hand and put it on all at the same time.
But I liked one at a time so that I could see and control what it looks like at the end.

And there you go.
Thanks for reading!
Any comments or questions give me a holler.

Seasonal Decor

One simple way for spring or fall is to add flowers for spring and leaves for fall to this candle set up

I had about a 8 foot strand of leaves so most likely you won't need this much
Then you just wrap it around
I did it in and outa around the candles and then went back over it to give it a more full look

And I placed it at the center of my families dinning table along with two of my other easy decorations for fall that can change with the seasons.
Thank you for reading. I hope you enjoyred!
