My wonderful friends at Snow College were the ones to think of this and were kind enough to let me join in and be a bird with them.
This is from I believe 2010 spring semester
The tutus were super easy, we got some tool from Joann's in the color our birds were going to be and got enough to fold it over so feathers could go in the middle.
(about 20 inches long and probably about 60 inches wide)
Then the sewing began.
First we measured our waste with the elastic band (Just about an inch or two shorter)
Then we placed the elastic band around the top edge of the two folded pieces of tool.
We folded the tools waste in to match up with the elastic band (You can get the elastic band at Joann's)
And to cover the rough edge we put a feather scarf on it with a glue gun.
We each bought fake eyelashes that were very long and colorful.
And two of us bought witch stockings that matched our outfit. (The others already had some to match)

There we are! Easy homemade costume! Haha
